As a team at 5ft Apart, we deeply appreciate the intricate nature of transformation in interior design. We prioritize our involvement from conceptualization to visualization. Rooted in Bangalore, our mission at 5ft Apart is to bridge the gap between a mere space and a meaningful personal experience. Founded by Taarini Jouhari, in 2018, our studio boasts a prolific portfolio of over 35 projects and a dedicated team of seven designers.

-Philosophy
We consciously seek out unique projects, emphasizing handmade and custom-made products while fostering collaborations with local furniture companies. Each project we undertake is meticulously crafted to narrate a distinct story. At 5ft Apart, we play with light, texture, movement, and form to inspire and impress. Recognizing that interior design is a personal and intimate process, and acknowledging that setting up new homes often coincides with major life changes, we strive to alleviate concerns through an empathetic and understanding approach.

Taarini Jouhari
With a family background in the industry, her interest developed early. Though she spent a few years dabbling in other projects outside the industry, she was always drawn back to it. After graduating from Shrishti School of Art, Design, and Technology, Taarini started her company 5ft Apart at the age of 23 and has spent the last few years developing a studio. Taarini refuses to be defined by a single style, always going across the board. More than the final product itself, her favourite part of work is immersing herself in the transformation process and the creative process that accompanies it. She enjoys spending time outdoors exploring different cities and styles in her free time.
